The threat to ground vehicles has changed
Drone attacks on armoured and unarmoured platforms are an established threat in current and near-term land operations. A vehicle’s cameras, which previously existed for driver vision and crew situational awareness, are now a first line of defence against airborne threats.
That role requires a different capability set: full hemispheric coverage, automatic detection of small fast-moving objects against cluttered backgrounds, and fast enough output to alert the crew before the engagement window closes.
A second problem is cognitive overload. Presenting a crew with four to eight independent raw camera feeds does not scale under operational stress. Threats are missed not because the sensors are absent but because the operator cannot process what they show.

How it works
Drone Vision for Land
Vidhance Drone Vision is a software-defined vision layer for UxV platforms. The following capabilities are available for land deployments.

01 – Stabilization
Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) and Horizon Correction stabilize all camera feeds in real time, compensating for vehicle vibration and terrain shock. Rolling Shutter Correction addresses distortion from high-frequency vibration in vehicle-mounted cameras. Stabilization runs upstream of all detection and tracking algorithms, so their performance is not degraded by platform motion.

02 – 360-Degree Situational Awareness
Multi-Camera Stitching merges camera streams from around the vehicle perimeter into a single stabilized panoramic picture in real time. Virtual views, including a stabilized forward view, compressed wide view and synthetic overhead representation, are derived from the same fused stream. The operator works from one coherent picture rather than a bank of raw feeds.
Virtual Gimbal extends this further, creating a software-controlled field of view steerable across the fused panorama without moving parts.

03 – Threat Detection and Tracking
Moving Object Tracking detects and locks onto drones and small UAVs against the visual complexity of terrain and sky, where manual detection is unreliable. Detection events surface within the fused panoramic view, so the crew knows not only that a threat exists but where it is in the space around the vehicle.
Multi-Object Tracking maintains independent locks on multiple detected objects simultaneously, without operator intervention.
Landmark Tracking maintains a fixed reference point in world coordinates, supporting persistent area observation independent of vehicle movement.
