Vidhance runs on standard smartphones, tablets and head-mounted cameras. It stabilises the video feed in real time and gives the remote specialist full control of framing and zoom from their own screen – without asking the caregiver to adjust the camera.

The Vidhance software has been refined through four years of remote surgical training across East Africa and is now deployed at Uppsala University Hospital’s National Burn Centre. The software runs on head-mounted cameras as well as standard smartphones and tablets, with no specialist hardware required.
