ASUS is a Taiwan-based multinational computer and phone hardware and electronics company headquartered in Beitou District, Taipei, Taiwan, with smartphones as a key product. At a press event yesterday at the Marriot hotel in Taipei, the new ZenFone 6 was presented to the media. Earlier reviews have been very positive, with acclaim for the phone’s camera performance. The ZenFone 6 keeps ASUS’ classic concentric-circle finish on a curved matte black body, and it’s maxed out to 12GB of RAM plus 512GB of storage (these were originally capped at 8GB and 256GB, respectively). The phone is otherwise identical to the rest of the series, featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 chipset, a flip dual camera, a 6.4-inch notch-less FHD+ LCD and a massive 5,000mAh battery. You’ll also find the same rear fingerprint reader, stereo speakers, dual-microphone noise cancellation, headphone jack and NFC.
IMINT and ASUS singed a license agreement in early April of 2019, but due to confidentiality clauses IMINT has until now not been able to disclose its new customer. The teams from IMINT and ASUS has been working tightly together with high ambitions to bring to the market a premium camera smartphone. DxO MARK test result published on May 27th, 2019 for the front camera (in face a single module that can rotate to point outward or toward the user) gave impressive result, with a total camera score of 98, and the specific score for video quality at 93, putting them in the premier league of smartphones for videography.
