“Imint and Motorola are pushing high-end video enhancement further into the smartphone market,” said Andreas Lifvendahl, CEO, Imint. “By making Vidhance optimization solutions standard in most moto g smartphones, Motorola is creating a line of mid-tier devices that deliver premium, flagship-quality video performance.”
The new moto g100 is the first Motorola smartphone to include the new cutting-edge Vidhance Selfie Mode, which combines Imint’s expertise in video stabilization with artificial intelligence-based facial recognition and detection to center smartphone users in a video frame, even while they’re moving.
Whether for capturing a memory or video chatting, selfie videos can be hard to control and faces tend to slip in and out of frame. With Vidhance Selfie Mode, software detects the user’s face and applies algorithms to track its movement, repositioning it within the frame, even in low light.
“Vidhance Selfie Mode is the kind of high-end video processing technology that our moto g users can enjoy at any moment,” said Thomas Milner, Head of Global Product Marketing at Motorola. “It represents an innovative, practical solution to a pervasive video challenge. Combined with other category-leading Vidhance solutions, the moto g100 is a first-of-its-kind mobile device that democratizes real-time video optimization.”
The moto g100 also includes Vidhance Video Stabilization and Vidhance Dynamic Motion Blur Reduction, making it capable of creating ultra-stable, razor-sharp video in all lighting conditions.
Vidhance Dynamic Motion Blur Reduction builds on Vidhance stabilization technology. The solution learns from ongoing software processing and fine-tunes different video parameters to account for movement and light, thereby minimizing the effects of motion blur.
The new moto g100 is based on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 870 5G Mobile Platform, optimized for 5G networking. It comes with a 64-megapixel camera sensor, four cameras—including a 16MP ultra-wide-angle camera with a 117-degree field of view—and a stunning 6.7-inch display. It’s capable of capturing video up to 6K resolution at 30 frames per second.
“Imint’s video optimization technology is powerful and extremely versatile,” concluded Lifvendahl. “It ensures premium video experiences in both top-of-the-line mobile devices and mid-tier smartphones alike. Motorola is laser-focused on creating highly differentiated smartphone platforms and the moto g100 with integrated Vidhance software is a perfect example.”
The companies further announced that Vidhance optimization technology would be featured in additional new suitable Motorola smartphones, set for release throughout 2021. Last year, Imint and Motorola collaborated on the new Motorola Edge+ flagship smartphone.
