A new AI wearable from a global tech company based in North America will ship with Vidhance video enhancement software. The device is expected to reach the market before the end of 2026.
Uppsala, Sweden – October 21, 2026 – Vidhance AB today announced that its video enhancement software is included in a new AI wearable from a global technology company, built on the Qualcomm Snapdragon® Wear Elite platform. The device has been announced by its manufacturer and is expected to reach the market before the end of the year. It is the first commercial product to ship with Vidhance software on Wear Elite.
The launch builds on the reference integration Vidhance completed in March 2026, when its software was validated and optimized for Wear Elite and demonstrated at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, where Qualcomm launched the platform and presented Vidhance as one of its AI ecosystem partners.
“Expanding the consumer technology business into AI wearables is a key step for Vidhance, and this product is concrete proof that our vision and video enhancement suite brings real value in this category,” says Niclas Elvgren, Chief Commercial Officer at Vidhance. “We are building on everything we have achieved in smartphones and on our partnership with Qualcomm. AI is driving a wave of new device types, and that opens up a large opportunity for us. It also confirms our cross-industry strategy: working with the companies leading AI development gives us technology and insights that benefit all our markets, from consumer devices to defence.”
For nearly 20 years, Vidhance has specialized in enhancing video from cameras in motion, from handheld smartphones to body-worn headsets and drones. Its software operates close to the hardware, where sensors meet silicon. Combining motion sensor data with hardware-level optimization, it delivers stable, high-quality video with minimal power consumption and zero frame latency, even in the most resource-constrained devices. AI wearables combine both challenges: a camera that moves with the person wearing it, and a small battery. Clean, stable video is also the foundation for vision intelligence: the AI features in a wearable can only understand what its camera captures clearly.
